Nachrichten 60 Tribologie + Schmierungstechnik · 67. Jahrgang · 4/ 2020 We are pleased to announce that the 7 th World Tribology Congress (WTC 2021) will be held in Lyon, France, on September 5-10, 2021, following previous WTC events in London (1997), Vienna (2001), Washington DC (2005), Kyoto (2009), Torino (2013) and Beijing (2017). WTC 2021 aims to highlight recent important progress in all aspects of Tribology, strengthen the links between academy and industry, provide a unique opportunity for discussion concerning the latest developments in Tribology and to promote international collaborations and exchanges. The Congress will consist of scientific sessions, plenary, keynote and invited talks on topics at the cutting edge of the various Tribology disciplines, a wide exhibition and various events, scientific and nonscientific, some of them dedicated to young tribologists. The Congress will be held in Lyon Convention Centre, in an exceptional setting, located between the Rhône and the Parc de la Tête d’Or, in the heart of the Cité Internationale. WTC 2021 is organized by both the Laboratoire de Mécanique des Contacts et des Structures (LaMCoS), and the Laboratoire de Tribologie et Dynamique des Systèmes (LTDS), in cooperation with the Association Française de Mécanique (AFM) and the International Tribology Council (ITC).
